tension [alexander]

"Yeah right," Idina scoffed skeptically. "You wouldn't really." She said it in a challenging way, as if daring him to keep going. But at the same time she didn't think he really would.

"Oh, you don't think so?" Alexander asked, with the raise of his brow. "Command me, I'll do it."

"Of course you'll do it if I command you, you'll do anything if I command you," Idina replied, with a hand on her hip. "My question is whether or not you'll do it of your own...free...will?" she raised an eyebrow at him.

"Hahaha!" Alexander sort of said, and then started to make those party boy, 'nnst' noises.

Slowly he started to take of his shirt, rocking to his nnsting.

"Oh my god," Idina shook her head in disbelief. "I can't believe you're actually taking your clothes off." Mm, he sure did have a nice body. Good thing Dina was a woman or she wouldn't have the self control to just stand there and stoically watch her friend strip. ;]

After a few more moments of 'nnst' Alexander was pretty much naked, except for his boxerbriefs, they were still on.

"Should I take these off too?" he asked.

"Hey, it's up to you," Dina shrugged.

Alexander decided not to. He stood up, grabbed his clothes and retreated to the bathroom to take a shower of his own.

"I'll be right back," he singsonged.

"Aw, coward!!" Dina called after him, draping herself over the back of the couch. She sighed once he was in the bathroom. All that buildup for nothing. Laaaame. She yawned, feeling a little tired. It was pretty late, she realized. Oh well. Not like she had anything to do in the morning.

Alexander came out of the bathroom about ten minutes later with a towel around his waist and dirt popcorny clothes in his arms. He turned to take his clothes to his bedroom, but he felt his towel start to slip, so he sort walked strangely, but it just made it worse. His towel was now around his ankles.

Oops.

Dina looked up when she heard Alex exit the bathroom. She sure as hell wasn't expecting him to be completely naked. "Holy--!" she exclaimed, her eyes getting huge. "I didn't think you'd actually get naked in front of me!" She blushed. He was so gorgeous.

"Sorry," Alexander squeeked. "It fell, I didn't mean to..."

Or did he? He started to pick up his towel when a sock fell out of his arms, so he tried to grab that then a shirt fell, so he tried to grab that but then another sock fell.

"Oh, fuck me!" he yelled, exasperated.

He threw all of his clothes down onto the floor and stood there with his arms crossed agaisnt his chest.

"Oh, for god's sake," Idina said, getting up to help. She tried not to look as she picked up his clothes off the floor. She handed him the towel. "Here," she said softly.

"Thank you," Alexander replied, just as softly.

He took his towel and wrapped it back around his waist. He looked back up at Dina when he was finished, smiled and took his clothes from her.

Dina gave Alex an inquisitive look in return for his smile. "You didn't do that on purpose, did you?" she asked after a while.

"Maybe," Alexander said with a wink.

Then the look on his face got all serious looking, he leaned forward as if he was going to kiss Dina, closer...closer. Lick! Alexander cackled like a witch and galloped away.

"You're disgusting," Idina said with disdain, wiping her face off. Lame. He could have actually kissed her too, and she would've let him. What a pussy. "Maybe you should just go to sleep." She turned off the TV.

"Then you'll just have to stay up by yourself, because I'm going to bed," Idina decided, haughtily turning around and heading towards her bedroom.

Alexander didn't know what came over him, but he found him self tackling Dina, and getting her agaisnt the wall. He stared at her, his mouth slightly opened.

"What are you doing...?" Idina asked, confused. She was sort of used to this, the way they "played rough" all the time, but she wasn't quite sure what the look he was giving her meant. Was he drunk or something?

"I think I love you Dina," breathed Alexander.

There, he said it. He now knew why he felt so jealous when she was going out on that date, why he didn't care when she grabbed his hand. He loved her more than a sister. But was is real love? Or was it just the bond they shared? Or maybe it was just the lack of sleep. Either way, he said it.

He leaned forward, and kissed her tenderly on the lips.

Idina's eyes widened. Okay, so maybe she had been prepared for him to kiss her, or even want to sleep with her or something, but to profess his (maybe) love? That was unexpected. And unwanted. It could screw up the relationship they had worked so hard to strengthen and perfect. The relationship that meant more to her than anything. She couldn't let anything change what they had now.

She gently pushed him back. "Alexander," she said in almost a whisper, avoiding his gaze. "You're obviously very tired. Go to bed. That's an order."

Good job, you idiot.

Alexander stepped back and just stared at Idina. He tried to hide the hurt on his face, but did a bad job of doing so. All he could do now was go the bed, like she told him to.

"Alright," he mumbled. "Goodnight, Dina."

He turned and shuffled off to his bedroom.

Idina felt a weird little pang in her heart at the look on his face. But still, she let him go. Nothing good could come from them getting together. They'd break up, and then they wouldn't be able to function properly as Sacrifice and Fighter Unit.

"I did the right thing..." she muttered, as if trying to reassure herself.

Trying to erase what had just happened from her mind, she turned and went to bed.
